Hummus

 

Ingredients:hummus face

4 – 15 oz. cans chick peas (garbanzo beans)

Juice of 1 ½ – 2 lemons

3 – 4 whole cloves garlic – peeled

1¼ teaspoon sea salt

1/3 – 1/2 cup Sesame Tahini

2 – 4 Tablespoons water

Olive Oil – optional

 

Drain and rinse beans.  Place beans in food processor with garlic. Turn on processor and add water just until mixture moves smoothly in processor. Continue to process until very smooth. Add lemon, salt, and Tahini and continue to blend until creamy.  You may drizzle water or olive oil into the mixture while blending until desired consistency is reached.

Adjust ingredients according to your taste. I like lots of lemon and garlic. You may like more tahini.

Serve with veggies or pita for dipping.
