Raw Chocolate Sauce

Printable Version – Raw Chocolate Sauce

Ingredients:

Virgin Coconut Oil

Raw Cacao

Sweetener of choice. (raw honey, grade B maple syrup, Stevia etc.)

Vanilla Bean or Vanilla Extract

Chocolate Sauce #1

1/4 cup coconut oil

3 Tablespoons Raw Cacao

2 Tablespoons Grade B Maple Syrup

5 drops Stevia

1 teaspoon vanilla (or seeds from 1 bean)

Chocolate Sauce #2

(This is a low-glycemic index chocolate)

1/4 cup coconut oil

3 Tablespoons Raw Cacao

10 drops Stevia

1 teaspoon vanilla (or seeds from 1 bean)

Chocolate Sauce #3

(This is still a dark chocolate sauce but with a little less intense dark chocolate taste)

1/4 cup coconut oil

2 Tablespoons Raw Cacao

2 Tablespoons Raw Honey

5 drops Stevia

1 teaspoon vanilla (or seeds from 1 bean)

Directions:

Melt coconut oil in a “raw cook’s double boiler” (see note below). Stir in cacao, sweetener and vanilla and mix until thoroughly blended and smooth.

This is delicious poured over Frozen Fruit “Ice Cream”, or used to dip frozen fruit in or make raw chocolates.

NOTE: Raw Cooks Double Boiler – Use two bowls of similar size. Fill the first bowl with hot tap water. Place the second bowl on top of the first so that the bottom of the second bowl is touching the hot water. Place coconut oil in the top bowl and stir until melted.

Use this sauce to make Raw Chocolate Peanut Butter Cups, Chocolate Bark, Coconut Almond Cups, to drizzle over Frozen Fruit “Ice Cream” or just about anything else that chocolate sauce is yummy with. And lets face it – there’s not much chocolate isn’t yummy with :)
