Under what conditions do redworms Thrive

Recommended Resources:

We simply used a couple of plastic storage bins with lids that are available at any local home store or hardware. However, there are many vermicomposters available on the market. Here is one we like. It is well rated, has a tray to collect that valuable compost tea, and a lid to keep things under cover.

We originally purchased our Red Worms from Uncle Jim’s Worm Farm and were very happy with them. They arrived quickly and were healthy, lively wigglers!

If you don’t want to practice vermicomposting but you would like all the benefits of growing with worm castings you can purchase the castings by the bag. But we recommend giving vermicomposting a try. It is inexpensive, environmentally friendly, and quite fun once you get in the swing of it.
